Representative Derrick McCollum
House District 30
Derrick is a fifth generation Georgian, born in Hall County Hospital, and raised in north Georgia. He is a graduate of North Gwinnett High School. Following his graduation, Derrick enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and served on the front lines in Desert Storm. Upon completion of his military service, Derrick returned home to Hall County, where he has owned and operated several small businesses.
Prior to being elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2022, Derrick served his community as a firefighter and EMT for Hall County for seventeen years and Habersham County for two years.

Derrick and his wife, Gina, currently reside in Chestnut Mountain and have five children and four grandchildren. They continue to operate successful small businesses including a self-service car wash, rental properties, and a payment solutions company. Derrick is also an active member of the Braselton Rotary Club.
